Sa Đéc Flower Village – one of the major ornamental flower centers of southern Vietnam – is located in Tân Quy Đông Commune, Sa Đéc Town. It covers an area of about 60 hectares, with 600 households and 3,600 workers specializing in growing flowers and ornamental plants.

Visitors can find here many rare ornamental trees that are hundreds of years old. Some plants are very simple and closely associated with everyday rural life, such as starfruit, areca palm, bùm sụm, cluster fig, banyan, and apricot trees. Through the skillful, patient, and artistic hands of local artisans, these humble plants have been transformed into valuable ornamental trees with unique and beautiful shapes.

In this flower village – often described as a place with “four seasons of spring” – no matter which month you visit, you can freely admire a vast sea of flowers in full bloom, rich in colors and fragrances. Notably, the village preserves around 50 varieties of roses, including deep red velvet roses, purple lotus-toned roses, pink roses, light and dark brick-orange roses, red-inside-yellow-outside roses, pale pink roses, orange roses, white roses, and egg-yolk yellow roses.

Ornamental flowers not only provide color and fragrance but are also used for interior decoration and landscape design in parks, offices, public institutions, cultural works, and homes. In addition, some species have medicinal properties and are used for healing purposes.
