T\u00e0 P\u1ea1 Hill belongs to N\u00fai T\u00f4 Commune, about 1 km from Tri T\u00f4n town, and is one of the seven sacred mountains that form the legendary \u201cTh\u1ea5t S\u01a1n\u201d (Seven Mountains) region. Although T\u00e0 P\u1ea1 Hill originally rises more than 120 meters above sea level, after years of stone quarrying, it now stands at a more modest height of about 45 meters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Tri T\u00f4n Market, follow Nguy\u1ec5n Tr\u00e3i Street toward the T\u1ee9c D\u1ee5p Hill Tourist Area, and you\u2019ll reach T\u00e0 P\u1ea1 Pagoda\u2014locally known as \u201cCh\u00f9a N\u00fai\u201d (Mountain Pagoda) or \u201cCh\u00f9a Ch\u01b0n Num\u201d in Khmer. The pagoda\u2019s grand gate features towering stone pillars topped with a statue of the Four-Faced God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the pagoda gate, walk about 400 meters to reach the summit of T\u00e0 P\u1ea1 Hill. The hill retains a wild, rugged charm with towering rock walls like ancient fortresses, crisscrossed with horizontal and vertical lines, jagged stone pillars, reddish-brown rocks the color of chicken liver, and angular rock formations that look as if they were carved into strange, otherworldly shapes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the top of this pristine hill lies a deep 7-meter pit that is always filled with emerald-green water\u2014known as H\u1ed3 T\u00e0 P\u1ea1 (T\u00e0 P\u1ea1 Lake). The lake formed accidentally about 10 years ago as a remnant of the stone quarrying process. Though created unintentionally, it has become an incredibly attractive natural wonder, drawing crowds of tourists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lake is surrounded by majestic rock cliffs. Looking down, the water is so clear you can see straight to the bottom. In deeper areas, it turns a deep green; in shallower spots, it\u2019s lighter green, with patches of black, dark orange, or pale yellow\u2014colors created by the rocks beneath the surface. On clear, sunny days, the lake mirrors the sky perfectly, its surface as smooth as glass and shimmering like jade\u2014making H\u1ed3 T\u00e0 P\u1ea1 look exactly like a breathtaking ink-wash landscape painting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
